Sweden: Man put abortion pills in lover's yogurt

MSNBC - Swedish woman aborted pregnancy over tainted food fears

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - A Swedish court of appeal on Tuesday sentenced a 27-year-old man to 18 months in prison for trying to make his girlfriend miscarry by mixing abortion pills in her food.

The man, who was not named for legal reasons, had his jail term increased from a previous one-year sentence set by a district court in June.

In its ruling, the Court of Appeal for Western Sweden found the man guilty of aggravated assault for attempting to make his girlfriend of eight years miscarry by giving her a yogurt containing three ground-up pills. The sentence also included a more minor count of assault.

This news story won't get much press here in the United States with the number of left-wing politicians who seek to adopt European standards in health care and reproduction for the United States.

The long running debate of the "Abortion Pill" never mentioned the threat of having someone to maliciously attack a woman by contaminating her food with a crushed up "abortion pill".

If it is a woman's right to abort her child if she wants then what of the woman who seeks to carry her baby to term only to have a third party kill her child with this substance?

The more technology we adopt to "do our dirty work" the more complex the antics that some people will express to show that man indeed can only go as low as his technological enablers allow him to go.
