You Want To Know What TORTURE IS? This is TORTURE!

North Korean defector tells of being born a prison

As the Senate Democrats feign outrage over the failure by the Attorney General nominee's take on "Water Boarding" as a torture technique PERHAPS they might want to cast their eyes toward the east and make note of the ACTUAL TORTURE that is going on in North Korea.

It is so easy to sit in a leather chair within the Senate chambers and pontificate about the real world. Why is it that these people have such a claimed high standard for human civility but routinely look past the actions of our enemies in the world.? It seems that they are more interested in symbolism over substance.

I Would Be Remiss If I Failed To Mention.......

Rocker "Kid Rock" was arrested at a Waffle House

Kid Rock arrested in DeKalb after fight at Waffle House

Musician Kid Rock was arrested in DeKalb County early Sunday morning after police said he and his entourage beat up a customer at a Waffle House.

Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, was finishing a meal at Waffle House in the 2800 block of Buford Highway about 5:15 a.m. when a customer recognized a woman in his entourage and began exchanging words with her, said county police spokeswoman Mekka Parish.
DeKalb Sheriff's Office

Ritchie, 36, joined the exchange, which soon escalated into a physical fight between the rocker and the man, Harlem DeJon Akins, 39, police said.

After the arrest of T.I. last week and the fact that a WHITE MAN who is also a musical entertainer was arrested for his illegal activities I now believe that the universe is back in order as justice has been served. :-/

Madonna Bags $120 Million Contract - Usual Suspects Against CEOs Silent

Madonna Bags $120 Million Contract

Let me get this straight - there is a big problem with CEOs who used to make 40 times more than the lowest worker on the totem pole and now make 400 times their amount BUT when Madonna and so many other entertainers make a mega million dollar contract they are SILENT.

If we did a formula with an JOBS CREATED/INCOME ratio these entertainers would be far lower than the CEOs.

Hey Wait A Minute Michael Moore (and Lou Dobbs)

I had the movie "The Big One" on my NetFlix list. I don't recall putting it on there. It was Michael Moore's movie about unemployment............in 1997!!!!!! Hey wait a minute that was Bill Clinton's term when the economy was booming.

Curious though Moore covers the subject of unemployment but PRESIDENT Bill Clinton is not ATTACKED in the movie as the incumbent as he attacks evil George Bush in his two recent films.

I have noted previously that the year 1998 had the highest number of corporate layoff than the past 10 years at that time.

I bring in Lou Dobbs because I have started (once again) to record his show (and am trying to stomach watching it). His hard hitting populism seems contrived and it can only be attractive to the highly embittered among us. But the key point is that last night when they were discussing food safety of imported meat the reporter pointed to the ping pong match between the FDA and Congress with the FDA saying they don't have the authority and the Democratic Congress saying that they never asked. Mr. Dobbs stepped in and said that it was the BUSH ADMINISTRATIONS FAULT!! This smaller government bias of the Bush Administration actually means that Americans are exposed to risk based on ideology. He went on and on and on.

Don't get me wrong - I listen to Link TV - the left wing channel and I like their muckraking. They uncover things that politicians must answer to. At least their are sincere with their agenda. Mr. Dobbs seems to have figured that this is a niche that he can exploit and he is going for it.

Maybe if and when the Democrats take over the entire Government Mr. Dobbs will show his willingness to attack equally? I won't hold my breath on him or Michael Moore, Daily Show, Steven Colbert Show, Black talk radio.....the list goes on.
