When Your Company Is On The Brink.........You Go On STRIKE!!!!

Yeah UAW.
That's the way to insure job security for yourselves.
You are really going to show them!

The UAW has plans to turn Toyota's various plants into union shops by waiting for more UNEMPLOYED auto workers from Michigan to relocate to towns with Toyota plants and wait until a union favorable work force is present.

With their current strategies they are going to have a larger set of unemployed workers to deal with. $1,500 of every car GM sells goes to employee health care. The labor union needs to come to grips with the fact that the days of the PENSION are over with. I have had a 401k for the duration of my career. They fear placing money and responsibility into the employee's hands.

CNN gets the biased news reporting award. On the Lou Dobbs show, one of the show's reporters in continuing the shows theme about "The War Against The Middle Class" told of these MANAGEMENT MISTAKES that GM has made to get them into the current bind. I hear this same talking point when I debate various progressives but NONE have thus far noted that one possible MANAGEMENT MISTAKE is in yielding so much of the company's resources to the labor union and thus placing itself into an uncompetitive situation. They definitely were not talking about that mistake.

Sing That Song Again Barry Manilow?

Let me understand you Barry.

In your logic it is Elizabeth Hasselbeck who is the one force that is repulsive on "The View"?

Despite the fact that right now there is a 3 on 1 deck stacked in your favor regarding ideology - you FEAR the conservative Hasselbeck? I take it that you won't be appearing on the Bill Mahr show either because, what a surprise - he also goes with the 2 liberal and 1 conservative guest format - he making up the 3 liberal in the debate.

You hate Hasselbeck but no doubt felt comfortable with Rosie O'Donnell and her loonyness? 9/11 was an inside job and so many other "Area 51" type theories didn't bother you?

Some people being the center of worship for so long in their lives don't appreciate the DIVERSITY that they chant in their own LIBERAL ideology. I am not a frequent viewer of "The View" but comparatively Elizabeth Hasselbeck does not breath the fire as several other individuals that I can think of. If she is enough to cause you to stay away it is YOU who has issues.

Manilow Cancels Appearance on 'The View'

Hugo Chavez Threatens To Take Over The PRIVATE Schools In Venezula

Venezuela's Chavez May Take Over Schools
Sep 17 02:49 PM US/Eastern
By IAN JAMES
Associated Press Writer
CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez threatened on Monday to close or take over any private school that refuses to submit to the oversight of his socialist government as it develops a new curriculum and textbooks.

"Society cannot allow the private sector to do whatever it wants," said Chavez, speaking on the first day of classes.

All schools, public and private, must admit state inspectors and submit to the government's new educational system, or be closed and nationalized, with the state taking responsibility for the education of their children, Chavez said.

A new curriculum will be ready by the end of this school year, and new textbooks are being developed to help educate "the new citizen," said Chavez's brother and education minister Adan Chavez, who joined him a televised ceremony at the opening of a public school in the eastern town of El Tigre.

The president's opponents accuse him of aiming to indoctrinate young Venezuelans with socialist ideology. But the education minister said the aim is to develop "critical thinking," not to impose a single way of thought.

Once again - NOTHING will be said by his Progressive American supporters on this one.
They are still shouting "STOP BUSH before he goes too far!!"

Fundamentalist Islam Seeks To Establish A Beachfront In The West

MUSLIM AMERICANS: Brotherhood's plan to tear down U.S.

Sadly - just like the communists of the past - I have little doubt that the first people these Fundamentalist Islamic Extremists will recruit the people with the greatest grievances first.

Iraq vs Afghanistan

I just finished watching CNN "Special Investigative Unit". They did a piece "Afghanistan - Under The Veil" in which they reviewed the nation 6 years after the American invasion to see how life is today after the Taliban has been disposed of. Where as this piece was very fair - it showed that FUNDAMENTALISTS don't easily change I could not help but to notice the great double standard and hypocrisy between the political cajoling of Iraq vs Afghanistan.

Where as the call in Iraq is for the US troops to leave so that the people can settle their own issues via their government give and take.....In Afghanistan many of these same left wing politicians point to the PROBLEMS that have been allowed to brew up due to the ABSENCE OF enough US troops to keep a lid on the radical fundamentalists. The CNN report showed how today young girls who were banned from school in the country are now in school. The major challenge, however, is that the international community has FAILED to deliver the funding that was promised to meet the demands for schools to house these girls. So the USA is condemned internationally by "Peace Actor-vists" for our military engagement YET the rest of the world who did not "waste" their money on the military industrial complex but have FAILED to come through with humanitarian support are allowed to skate free.

Where as some of the people opposed to the Iraq War because it was an "unjust war" (Barack Obama) they support the war in Afghanistan because they are the one's who attacked us on 9/11. REALLY? Sure Al Queda attacked the USA. Sure it was the Taliban that gave portions of Al Queda cover.......but surely you can't tell me that the current surge by the Fundamentalists in Afghanistan are connected to 9/11 and thus we should send troops there to put them down? This is nothing more than a CONTRARIAN piece of rhetoric that they know will never be followed upon - but it sounds good.

Today's Afghanistan is evidence that 6 years is not enough time to change deep seeded views of the world. Short of KILLING THEM ALL and depending on the kids to develop new culture - the SAME CLAIMS that MILITARY cannot be the only means for societal change must be the same in Afghanistan as it is in Iraq.

IRAN Bombs Iraqi Villiage - Don't Worry The World Won't Say Anything

Iran reportedly bombs villages in northern Iraq

MARDOW, Iraq - As explosions boomed in the distance, a Kurdish woman stood outside her house and pointed to where shells scorched parts of her father’s grapes and plum orchards.

“It was a bad day when some 20 shells hit our village in a single day last week. We were crying as we prayed to God to protect us from the bombs of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” said Serwa Ibrahim, one of the few remaining villagers in Mardow, about 25 miles from the Iranian border.

Where there is typically condemnation of US military actions of a similar vein it is doubtful that the usual suspects will say anything about the actions of Iran in Iraq.
